Kingdom Hearts III: Welcome to Gravity Falls Ch. 2

Sora and Ford walk down stairs and enter the elevator as it goes down. The bottom floor held a secret lab where the portal used to be, but they went to the 2nd floor, Ford’s study room. Ford opens the door with a key and they both enter. Sora notices Ford’s room showing a recently old broken computer in front of him and pictures of Bill Cipher all around the room in his true triangle form. Though Sora only met Bill as a Heartless, he found the eye quite familiar.

Sora: “Whoa this is like Ansem’s secret lab.”

Ford: “Might as well be, I helped build some of his technology, except he upgraded I think, I prefer old school.”

Sora: “You worked with him?”

Ford sits down and Sora takes a seat too. Sora notices the rift with the broken glass globe next to Ford’s hand.

Ford: “Where do I even begin. Can’t tell my entire story again, because we don’t have much time, but I can give you the more important details as well as where I went. I was a brilliant scientist and Ha! Still am, wanted to find anything weird, just like my six fingers you see here.”

Sora: “Whoa I didn’t even notice that! Cool!”

Ford: “Thanks for seeing me normal haha, anyway I wanted to find all kinds of secrets in Gravity Falls and I made a terrible deal with the help of Bill Cipher!”

Ford points to the pictures Bill and Soro makes a connection.

Sora: “The Heartless I fought in the forest, I think that was him, he had one eye too, but he didn’t look like this.”

Ford ponders.

Ford: “Mmm this is his energy form, only what you can see in your dreams or mind. He must be possessing that Heartless in physical form, which means you can destroy him with your Keyblade, why didn’t you?!”

Sora: “He has my friends, I couldn’t stop him.”

Ford: “Oh right, I’m so sorry, I didn’t know. Don’t worry we’ll find a way. Anyway, Bill tricked me into making a doorway for him to enter our world, take over and change reality as we know it. I trusted my brother, whom you met up-stairs to keep the journals safe and….well there was an accident and I ended up in another world or “worlds”, in plural thanks to my stupid br - portal! Took me 30 years but my brother brought me back!”

Sora: “Wow you gotta be pretty grateful for him!”

Ford: “Um yeah…but in the process my portal ended up creating a rift you see before you!”

Ford picks up the Rift and shows it to Sora.

Sora: “Whoa, so Bill could come out of that!? Why are there cracks?”

Ford: “Because.. when you entered OUR world, it must have created some kind of dimensional echo affecting the rift.”

Sora: “I did that?! I didn’t know, I’m sorry!”

Ford: “It’s fine Sora, in fact, Bill planned this! The thing is this globe should hold the Rift for a decade. But instead, it looks like my warranty just got shorter. But I still don’t know how he got a hold of that Heartless, but looks like he took that form in order to get rid of you and keep that Keyblade. The worse part is if Bill does get free, he could end up destroying the other worlds you’ve been through, maybe even Kingdom Hearts!

Sora never heard of a creature that can do that much damage. Bill could have been much worse than all 13 Xehornorts combined!

Sora: “He can really do that?

Ford: “Yes, which is why I’m trying to find so many ways to stop him. Luckily my journey to many worlds helped me expand my knowledge on that, thanks to the help of Ansem the Wise.

Sora: “How exactly did you meet Ansem the Wise?

Ford: “Well before I answer that, tell me is he still alive?”

Sora tries to think how to tell his story.

Sora: “I’m gonna need Jiminy for this, he might explain it better!”

Jiminy jumps out of Sora’s pocket.

Jiminy: “It would be my pleasure!

As Sora and Jiminy summaries of what happened to Ansem the Wise, outside the Shack, Wendy was just throwing the garbage out and notices Dipper sitting on the back porch couch like there was no life in him. She sits next to him to find out what’s wrong.

Wendy: “Hey dude, why so down?”

Dipper: “Ug! The new guy suddenly gets great vibes from everyone just because he’s like super cool and older and….and Ford just got a new favorite nephew.”

Dipper looks like he was about to cry but Wendy comforts him.

Wendy: “Hey come on, your unique and different from Sora. Besides I don’t think he’s living here, whatever he’s doing must be important, and I think he needed our help.”

Dipper: “Probably to ask you out or something..hmp!”

Dipper didn’t mean to say that out load and covers his mouth. Wendy realized why he’s jealous.

Wendy: “Oh boy, you still don’t have feelings for me do you?”

Dipper looks at her with concern answers as he looks down again.

Dipper: “Sigh sometimes…it's hard but it's taking some time to let go. The real reason is that I just don’t want you getting hurt like with Robbie.”

Wendy: “Is that all? Hey I can take care of myself! I fought a copy creature and a bunch of Unicorns, remember? I think I can handle a few heart breaks and Sora isn’t even my type anyway. But I did hear brunettes are way more fun to hang out with!”

She says with a smile as she rubs his hair and Dipper laughs.

Wendy: ‘Besides, I think we should be more worried about Mabel.”

Dipper: “Oh man your right, I don’t know if she can handle another heartbreak, and even if he did stay, he’s like 3 years older than her.”

Wendy: “Kind of like the same situation with you and me huh?”

Dipper: “Yeah exact—ly..huh.”

Wendy just smirked as she saw Dipper realizing what popped in his head.

Dipper: “Oh man!”

Wendy: “He-he, good luck dork!”

Soon Wendy gets a text from Tambry and sees the picture of Sora attacking Robbie from earlier.

Wendy: “Whoa haha what are the odds! Dipper check this out!”

Dipper changes his expression when he sees the picture and laughs!

Dipper: “Ha! No way! Mabel will love this!”

Back underground, Sora and Jiminy skim through all three of Ford’s journals as they drink Pitt cola and Ford takes in on what happen to Ansem the Wise.

Sora: “Wow this research is amazing!”

Jiminy: “I’ll say, as one journal enthusiast to another, it’s an honor to read your work!”

Jiminy tips his hat to Ford.

Ford: “Thanks, little guy, and thanks for reading your journal to me. With your size, I'd be forced to where my magnifying goggles!”

Ford demonstrates as he puts on these special goggles making his pupils very large, but the band is cutting the circulation to his head.

Ford: “It might have shrunk, though. nnnngh ow!”

Ford tries to take it off as the band pulls his hair. He sighs and feels bad about what happen to Ansem the Wise.

Ford: “I can’t believe he’s trapped in another portal, just like I was! The Door to Darkness, that's where he is?”

Sora: “Yeah, also other people are trapped there too, Keyblade wielders like me!”

Ford: “Well I hope you find a way to free them. When I was lost, Ansem tried so many ways to help me find my way home.”

Sora: “So you were in Radiant Garden right?”

Ford: “Yes I was.”

As Ford tells his story, the flashback shows Ford entering Radiant Garden in the middle of the garden square through a random portal. At that year, he was in his 40s or 50s showing some gray hair.

Ford: “I don’t really remember what world I came from before that, it’s a little fuzzy, but what I do know is that I ended up in the middle of a garden square. Two soldiers came left and right coming to arrest me, but luckily a fellow scientist saw me and stopped them. He always loved eating salty sweet ice cream, the smell reminded me of the New Jersey sea. He thought I was a lost being from another world, like his apprentice, Xehanort!”

Sora: “You met Xehanort too?!”


As he continues, the flashback shows Ford was walking near Ansem's office until he almost walked into Xehanort, who looked very angry and disappointed. Ford only saw him and didn't notice the King leaving out the door.

Sora: “King Mickey!”

Ford: “Oh you know him? Yeah never got to meet the guy, he must have been huge! Well since Ansem decided to not open to these other world’s, I actually agreed with him. I thought it was too risky since Bill might be released if I came back home. Besides, Radiant Garden was such a nice place to live in and I can do my research in peace. That is until Xehanort had other plans! He was obsessed in entering other worlds, especially Kingdom Hearts! One night, I was setting up a copied security mainframe from some company called ENCOM, and I was to purge this Master Control Program. Wonder if it's related to that movie, Nort? Whatever anyway, I heard a noise in the portal room. When I entered, I found Ansem’s fellow scientists, Lenzo and Even knocked unconscious. It looked like they weren’t even breathing and I tried to help them up but that’s when he showed up-“

As Ford tells the story, the the characters speak in the flashback. Braig, a mercenary with an eye patch, smiles and points two crossbow like ray guns at Ford

Braig: “Hands in the air old man! Nice and slow!”

Ford slowly raises his hands. He recognizes the guard uniform.

Ford: “You! You work for the Radiant Garden guard, what’s the meaning of all this!”

Braig: “Hey don’t look at me, it was his idea!”

Braig still smiles and points to Xehanort coming in the room, who almost looked sick.

Ford: “What’s going on, did you do this!?”

Xehanort: “I’ll find a way to get out of this world one way or another. I don’t belong here, just like you!”

Ford talks to Braig first, then insults Xehanort.

Ford: “I can never trust anyone with one eye, had a bad experience with that once and you! I actually felt sorry for you since you have amnesia, but your clearly insane! Ansem took you in and trusted you!”

Xehanort: “Ansem…I like that name!”

Ford: “What?”

Braig: “Enough chit chat people! You're going on another trip grandpa!”

As Braig keeps pointing his ray gun at Ford, he plays with the controls and activates the portal. Ford is sucked in and leaves another world once again.

Ford: “Nooooo, not again!”

As Ford leaves, he enters a different version of earth and hits the ground. When he gets up, he notices two feet and looks up. He sees a scientist with a white lab coat, a blue shirt, white spiky hair, a unibrow and a little bit of drool on his mouth. The first words he said to Ford was.

R. S. : “Whooo the he -(burp) are you suppose to be!?”



The Flashback was over and Ford still talks to Sora beneath the basement.

Ford: “Where I ended up next, you don’t wanna know! Though the guy’s hair was as spiky as yours!”

Sora was very captivated by his story. Ford continues.

Ford: “I’m sorry I couldn’t stop Xehanort, Sora. You wouldn’t have been on this long journey away from your friends if it wasn’t for Xehonort’s evil schemes.“

Sora wasn’t angry as he says a quote he remembers from a friend.

Sora: “Thinking of you, wherever you are. We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend. Now I will step forward to realize this wish. And who knows: starting a new journey may not be so hard, or maybe it has already begun. There are many worlds, and they share the same sky - one sky, one destiny.”

Ford was a little confused to what Sora said, but felt some love in his heart when he heard it.

Ford: “That’s quite a poem”

Sora: “My friend Kairi wrote it in a bottle, no matter how far apart we are, our hearts are always connected and Xehanort can’t take that away from me.”

Ford sees great hope in the boy and has some precautions he wants to set up with him.

Ford: “Sora listen, now that you know the truth of where I’ve been, please don’t tell the others, especially Dipper. Bill can possess anyone's mind and know this information! Dipper and I are the only ones who know about the rift, but don’t tell him it’s cracked, I don’t want him to worry!”

Sora: “Sure I understand, but won’t Bill try to take over my mind too if I’m here.”

Ford: “Well the good news is that you're safe here in the Shack thanks to the unicorn hair and once your outside, your Keyblade's magic can protect you from his mind tricks.”

Sora: Well that’s a relief, I know Donald and Goofy are alive, Bill needed them.

Ford: “Probably to draw me out as your help.”

Sora: “Bill said they’re in the mines, I don’t know which one though?”

Ford: “Back where it all began, I think I might know where!”

Ford looks through Journal #2 and found the entry.

Ford: “I summoned Bill when I found an incantation spell in one of the old mines, that must be where he’s hiding.”

Sora: “Ok let’s go get him!”

Just as Sora is about to leave, Ford grabs him.

Ford: “Sora wait, listen, I can’t go with you I’m sorry.”

Sora: “What? Why not?”

Ford: “Well like Bill said, it’s a trap, there's’ a reason why he didn’t try to destroy you or your friends. He wants all of us in the process! I have something I need to do since Bill isn’t watching in the mindscape. Luckily I know two kids who can help you!”

Up at the main floor of the Shack and in the TV living room,Mabel was drawing fan pictures of Sora and her together. Waddles was sleeping next to her and she was using Wendy’s phone with a picture of Sora attacking Robbie as a reference of how he looks like. She used crayons and glitter, mostly in Sora’s eyes and there are pink and red hearts all over them, holding hands and kissing. Dipper saw her pictures and felt kind of grossed out by them.

Mabel: “I’m hanging these on my wall of love!”

Dipper: “Your wall of love is hard enough to look at Mabel!”

Mabel: “Hey you look better now instead of being a grumpy grump! Like Stan!”

Stan: “I heard that!”

He said from the next room.

Dipper: “Probably still angry about the whole key trick!”

Stan: “You darn right I am!”

Dipper: “Any-who, I worked out my anger issues and thought I give Sora a chance.

Mabel: “That’s great, maybe you might even be his brother in law in the future! Hint Hint!”

Dipper: “Oh boy.”

Dipper notices how giddy Mabel is for Sora and tries to talk some sense into her.

Dipper: “Mabel listen I’m sure Sora is great..like Wendy and like Wendy, he’s also older than you.”

Mabel: “Yeah so was Several Timez and they were so, gah gah over me! Kind of have regrets kicking them out now, though!”

Dipper: “Oh yeah the clone boy band, they still pick at our garbage. Well, I just don’t want you getting your heart broken again like your last crushes. You even almost wiped your own memories out just to get rid of the summer romances you had, but you decided to keep those memories by learning from them!”

Mabel stops drawing and thinks about what Dipper was saying.

Mabel: “Sigh, I know Dipper. I guess ever since the Love God hit me with that Potion of lover’s past, it opened up old wounds, but it also felt nice to see all of my ex-crushes love me again, even the guy on the dollar bill! I just think I might have a good chance with him!”

Dipper felt terrible to see her like this and hoped she won't go through the same heartbroken phase again.

Dipper: “OK, I’ll tell you what, just ask him how he feels about you instead of just asking direct dating questions such as going out or what’s your sign? Like your questionnaires.”

Mabel: “Yes! Definitely! Absolutely!”

They both laugh since it’s a joke from one of Mabel’s first crushes when she gave a boy a questionnaire titled: ‘Do you like me?’ with the same three answers Mabel just said.

Mabel: “Alright alright, you win! He did like me, though..”

Ford calls everyone in the kitchen.

Ford: “Family meeting, Family meeting!”

Dipper: “Well you might just get your answer!”

Ford and Sora we’re sitting at the table. Stan, Dipper, Mabel, Soos, and Wendy came in. Dipper came up to Sora and apologized.

Dipper: “Hey listen, Sora, I’m sorry I gave you bad vibes. Sometimes it’s hard to trust anyone in this town, but if Ford trusts you, I’m OK with that.”

Mabel: “I completely trust you too! By the way, do you like answering questionnaires?

Mabel got her pamphlet of questions already!

Dipper: “Mabel!”

Mabel: “Sorry!”

She throws it from her side. Dipper shakes Sora’s hand.

Sora: “Oh that’s OK, I didn’t even notice. I thought you were just being grumpy like your grandpa here.”

Stan: “Oh come on! Seriously?”

Sora: “Course you're not as loud as him!”

They all laugh except the Stan twins. Ford tries to get Sora to focus.

Ford: “Ah Sora, just explain to us your situation and will help you however we can.

Sora: “Oh right, I didn’t even get a chance to explain. OK, I was just fighting these Heartless in the forest -”

Wendy: “You keep mentioning Heartless? What are they?”

Dipper: “Yeah I never read anything like that in your journals, Gruncle Ford.”

Ford just points to his head the information is stored in there

Ford: “That’s a separate entree in here but I think Sora might explain it better.”

Sora: “Right, the Heartless are beings of darkness. People that lose their hearts to darkness end up turning into these creatures and try to steal other people's hearts in the process. Luckily my Keyblade stops them from doing that. But I just fought a giant Heartless and Bill Cipher is controlling it!”

Mabel: “Ug not him again!”

Dipper: “Wait! He has another body now?”

Sora: “Yeah, he’s possessed a giant Heartless and took my friends. If I don’t save them, I don’t wanna imagine what could happen to them.

Soos lifts his arm and points his fists.

Soos: “Oh he’ll probably pound them with his giant fists of doom!

They all give him a mad look.

Soos: “That’s not helping is it?”

Dipper: “What we can do is defeat Bill and save your friends!”

Sora: “Yeah but with what exactly? My Keyblade can't do it alone.”

Mabel: “Don’t worry! I got my trusty -!”

Stan: “Oh geez please don’t say -!”

Mabel: “Grappling hook!”

Sora looks at Dipper if it’s actually useful?

Dipper: “Trust me it’s useful…it’s annoying, but it’s useful.”

Ford: “That’s still not enough!”

Dipper: “Wait! Mabel, we still have those weapons from the Gnomes!?”

Mabel: “OH yeah, be right back Sora, I’m slipping into something a little more cray cray!”

Sora: “Cray cray?”

As the kids went to get these special tools, Ford asks about the Gnomes weapons.

Ford: “Gnomes gave them weapons?”

Stan: “Yeah, first off it’s not safe to give kids weapons these days but what do I know? And second, it was when Jeff the Gnome gave them weapons to steal Goldilocks or something?”

Sora: “Jeff the Gnome? I think I met in the forest!”

Ford knew what Stan was mistakenly referring to from his journals.

Ford: “You mean the Gemulets?!”

Stan: “Yeah the gem mule things. That stupid little imp promised me gold, but instead, he ended up turning into a monster and attacking the town a few days ago, before visiting those Sideshow attractions to prank!”

Ford: “Wait, He attacked the town recently? When was this?!”

Stan: “Oh I don’t know when you were cooped up in your basement! You didn’t even do anything to those Sideshow owners when they pranked the Shack back!”

Ford: “Hey it’s not my fault that you prank them first Stanley, I’m too busy trying to save the world here!”

Soos: “Whoa guys! Take it easy Mr. Pines or huh Pines's's!”

Ford and Stan stop talking and just turn their backs.

Sora: “Whoa, I thought you two usually get along like your grand-kids?”

Ford and Stan look at each other and thought maybe they should. But Ford just replies.

Ford: “We’re not kids anymore..”

No one talked. Wendy just looked at the side rubbing her shoulder and Soos twiddled his thumbs and hums.

Soos: “Doo doo doop, making sounds to break awkward silence…”

Everything is fine again once Dipper and Mabel come back!

Mabel: “Found them! Whoop!”

Mabel makes a whooping sound as she twirls and shows that she’s wearing a different sweater, called the Bedazzlng Fleece, a purple clothing with a yellow bedazzled spot on her chest!

Mabel: “Check it out! The sleeves can whip anything!”

Mabel demonstrates as she charges her sleeves and whips a tea pot shattering it to pieces! It can also disable enemy force fields if it’s charged up all the way!

Mabel: “Whip it good!”

Soos: “Like the song!”

Stan just crosses his arms when he saw the tea pot broken.

Stan: “I never liked tea anyway. Coffee’s a real man’s drink!”

Dipper: “Hey Ford, Sora, look what I can do!”

Dipper was showing them his Battle Cuffs. These blue bracelets, which Dipper prefers not to call, can shoot short energy fists as well as knocking back enemy projectiles with enough charge. He shows them his energy fists by knocking out tin cans of meat on the counter. Stan panics.

Wendy: “Nice shot dude!”

Stan: “Hey hey hey! Those costs like like 10 bucks a can!”

Ford: “10 bucks?!”

Stan: “I like my expensive meats!”

Sora: “Cool these should do it! Now we can save my friends!”

Ford: “Right, but first, Soos can you fix Sora’s Gummi Ship? It’s crashed landed in the middle of the forest.”

Stan: “Gummi what now?”

Soos: “Hey I can fix anything, and I know this forest pretty well after those pack of wolves took me in like a wolf-cub.”

Wendy: “I’m just wondering if you still took a bath after that?”

Soos: “Does deodorant count?”

Stan: “No!”

Sora: “Chip and Dale should be there, they can really use your expertise.”

Soos: “Sure thing dude, what do they look like?”

Sora: “Talking chipmunks”

Soos gets excited when he hears this!

Soos: “Gasp! Do they sing Christmas songs with their tiny little voices!”

Wendy: “I REALLY hope they don’t!”

Dipper: “Wait, talking crickets and now chipmunks? Sora what exactly are your friends?”

Sora: “Well there’s Donald, who’s a cranky duck and Goofy, a dog I think?”

Stan tries to come up with a joke, but instead -

Stan: “I ah…I got nothing for that!

Mabel: “Whaaaa! Please tell me your duck friend is related to Ducktective!”

Mabel gets her hopes up if Donald is related to her favorite TV show character.

Sora: “No but he’s related to a rich uncle”

Stan: “Rich uncle you say eh? I can RELATE to that!”

Stan puts his hands together, thinking he can do business.

Wendy: “You're not rich.”

Stan: “Not yet!”

Ford: “Right, then let’s move! Sora, kids, you take Journal #2, it shows the location of where Bill is hiding.”

Dipper: “Wait, Gruncle Ford your not coming with us?”

Ford: “I have something I need to check first, I’ll meet you kids later, Good luck!”

While Ford goes out the door to who knows where and Soos goes to fix the ship.

Soos: “See you ham-bones later!”

Wendy: “Wait what can I do?”

Stan: “You still need to work at the front, we got customers coming!”

Wendy: “Oh Boo!”

Stan: “Boo indeed! You're the only one left to work at the Mystery Shack ! It’s bad enough Soos has to work on some kind of flying contraption made of gummy worms or gummy koalas.

Mabel: “I had a dream about that once!”

Stan: “Kids, if you find one of those Heartless what-not, bring one alive for the attractions!”

Dipper: “No promises!”

Sora: “Donald, Goofy, we’re coming!”
